Since I recently turned 20 I thought I'd document and share with others what I've learned in my 20 years of life!
Not everyone is going to like you - and that’s ok
You are responsible for your own happiness
Keeping quiet about things that bother you in a relationship (romantic or not) just to “keep the peace” doesn’t work
You are loved so much more than you will ever know
Experiences & time with family is worth more than anything money can buy
Don’t bottle your emotions - it only makes things worse
Being an adult is expensive!
It’s ok (and even healthy) to do things alone!
Clothing sizes are never consistent between brands, don’t feel bad if you have to go up or down a size.
Anything worth having isn’t easy
Love and relationships need work
You’ll be happier if you stop comparing yourself to others
Working hard for something makes it so much more fulfilling when accomplished rather than having it handed to you
You ARE allowed to say no, and others have to respect that
Asking for help doesn’t make you weak
The right people will accept you as you are
You can’t change people
Nobody is perfect, just do your best
Growth never happens in your comfort zone - If it scares you, go for it.
You are not alone!
